Nook is provided by Kreluna Software, the trading name of the sole proprietorship GADDUCCI ANDREA. Business address: Via Dante Alighieri 3, 51016 Montecatini Terme (PT), Italy. VAT number: 02114130475. Business register REA: PT-622714. Certified email (PEC): gadducci.andrea@pec.it. Business telephone: +39 351 429 0127. Support and complaints: .

1. Service status

Sign in with a phone number for chats, photos, videos and invitation-only groups. Availability of the app and new features depends on the store, channel and installed version. Notes stay personal; their text is sent only when you choose to share it.

Photos and videos sent with this version expire on the server 48 hours after sending, even if unread. Text and copies saved to the gallery remain. New separate chats require updated Nook on both sides. To link another device, update the original device and create a new transfer package: old packages cannot be imported. Private archives and their passwords do not transfer. Passwords cannot be recovered; private space does not guarantee undetectability. Calls are not included. Groups require accepting an invitation; new members do not receive earlier history. Do not use Nook as your only channel for urgent communications or your only copy of important information. When message alerts are available and enabled, Nook registers a device token and technical installation and session identifiers on the server. A device-specific list permits alerts for regular chats and groups; private conversations are excluded. Apple APNs or Google FCM receive the token, opaque identifiers and generic text, without names, message content or a private-space indicator. Delivery and display depend on the system and service availability. An alert already sent to the system cannot always be recalled. A notification can show that you use Nook. You can disable alerts in the app or phone settings.

Apple and Google Play purchases are verified by the server before account access is granted. Stripe is inactive. The records and recovery conditions for both stores are described on this page.

Minimum age

To use Nook, you must be at least 13, or the higher minimum age required in your country. If you are under 18, read the Terms and Privacy Notice with a parent or guardian. Nook does not offer parent-managed accounts for people below the minimum age. The notice and declaration when creating a profile are not documentary age verification or verified parental consent. To report an account that does not meet the requirement, contact support.

The service’s minimum age remains 13, or a higher age required in your country. This does not itself establish legal capacity to enter a contract or authorise payment. Where applicable law requires a parent or guardian’s involvement in use, purchase or consent, that involvement is required. Reading the documents together is not verified parental consent.

Saved profiles with names and photos stay on the device, separate by account and space. Private-space profiles are stored in its encrypted archive. Transferring the chat key does not transfer these templates, the board or reminders. Applying a template to a group makes a copy: editing or deleting it does not automatically update groups.

For local reminders only: Reminder alerts are local and optional. The system receives only an opaque identifier, a due time and generic text, without a note, name, chat or private-space indicator. A local index encrypted with a device key keeps identifiers, due times and minimal technical data to maintain generic alerts when private space is locked. No push tokens are registered and no notes or due times are sent to a notification server. Permissions are requested when you enable the bell; Android may also require permission for exact alarms. A notification can reveal use of Nook. Sound, display and timing depend on system settings. Up to 60 future active alerts are allowed per account on the device across regular and private spaces.

Documents

To attach a document, choose Document and select a file in the system picker, then check the preview and confirm sending. The app uses temporary copies without changing the original. In online chats, the file and its name are end-to-end encrypted; in personal notes, they stay local. You can explicitly choose to open or export a received document: copies saved or opened outside Nook are handled by the app or service you choose. Previews and exports can create temporary copies on the device.

Current location

Sharing your location is optional. Choose Current location: Nook requests location permission while you use the app and obtains a single point, shown in a preview before confirmation. It does not follow your movements or use location in the background. In online chats, the coordinates and map link are sent as end-to-end encrypted text. Opening the link is a separate choice and sends the coordinates to Google Maps or the map app handling it, under its privacy policy. If you report that message and explicitly choose to include its text, Nook moderators also receive the coordinates contained in the selected text.

Personal wallpapers

You can keep Nook’s original background, choose an included wallpaper or select your own photo using the system picker. The photo is processed on the device and stays in the app’s local data; in a private space, it is stored in that space’s encrypted archive. The wallpaper is not uploaded to the server or sent to chat participants. It does not change profile or group photos. The original in the gallery and any backup copies remain separate.

2. Access and personal keys

To register, use a number you are authorised to receive codes on. Protect your codes, device and keys. Do not use another person’s credentials or try to access conversations without permission.

Support cannot recover your private-space passphrase. Losing it or uninstalling the only copy of the app may make data inaccessible. The “Back to chats” button locks the private session; it does not guarantee that the space’s presence cannot be detected.

3. Content and conduct

You may only share content you have the right to use and communicate. You keep the rights to your content; transmission and storage serve to provide the features you request.

Do not use Nook for harassment, threats, fraud, spam, non-consensual sharing of intimate content, exploitation or abuse of minors, privacy violations or other unlawful activities. Do not circumvent contact blocks or service security measures.

4. Blocks and reports

Blocking immediately hides the blocked person’s content on your device, including in groups and saved messages. Once the server confirms the block, it restricts new direct interactions and notifies the operators in the private Nook safety inbox, without sending chat text. Offline, the block remains local and pending: connect and choose “Complete block”. It does not delete copies already received by others.

Open the actions for a received message in an online chat and choose “Report message”. Describe the issue; you can choose to share up to 4,000 characters of the selected text only. Entire chats, photos and videos are not attached automatically: describe any attachments. You can also block the person. The Nook team receives the report in its private safety inbox. Contact Nook for support; it is not an emergency channel and an immediate response is not guaranteed.

5. Deletion and technical limits

The trial registry is active: deleting an account does not entitle the same verified phone number to another 30-day free trial. We retain a pseudonymized fingerprint of the number (HMAC) and the first trial start date for as long as Nook offers the 30-day trial, without storing the number in plain text in this registry.

“Delete for me” and “Delete chat” remove data from the local view; they do not automatically delete recipient copies or gallery originals. Contact support for account and data requests; available options are in the Account tab. The 30-day free trial is available once per verified phone number. To prevent it from restarting after account deletion, we retain a pseudonymised fingerprint of the number (HMAC) and the original trial start date for as long as Nook offers this 30-day trial. This register contains neither the plain-text number nor messages and is not deleted with the account. For errors, reassigned numbers or data requests, contact Nook support. Leaving or being removed from a group prevents new access to its content on the server, but does not delete copies already received. If the owner deletes their account and participants remain, ownership passes to one of them.

Nook’s one-time purchase has no renewals to cancel. Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not automatically issue a refund. For help with purchases and restoration, contact Nook or the store you used.

After deleting your previous account, you can request restoration using the same verified phone number associated with the original purchase and an authentic Apple purchase that is still valid. Nook checks the proof of purchase and its status with Apple before granting access to the new account. A refunded or revoked purchase does not qualify for restoration. If the checks fail, contact support.

To recover a Google Play purchase after deleting the account, sign in with the same verified phone number associated with the original purchase and choose Restore purchases using the relevant Google Play account. Nook checks the valid purchase and its association with Google again. The previous Nook account must have been deleted and there must be no conflicting purchases or attempts. A refunded or revoked purchase does not grant access. Recovery does not restore messages or keys.

Request deletion of your Nook account

Nook does not promise absolute anonymity, invisibility, screenshot prevention, equivalence to other messaging protocols or certified security. Nook’s cryptographic system has not undergone an independent audit. This information describes product limits and does not exclude mandatory rights provided by law.

6. Personal data and updates

Data processing is described in the privacy policy. Changes to these Terms and the service are subject to the safeguards below; merely publishing a new date does not retroactively change purchases. Contacts and practical instructions are available in Nook support.

7. Free trial and one-time purchase

You get 30 free days (720 hours) without a card, once per verified number. After the trial, a one-time purchase is required to start online chats and send messages or attachments. No subscription or automatic renewal.

The base price in Italy is €4.99 once. The actual price and currency are those shown by the store used, Apple or Google Play, before confirmation.

The end of the trial does not trigger automatic charges. The purchase is optional; availability depends on the app version and the channel you use.

Purchase duration and the stores’ role

The one-time purchase provides access without expiry or renewals, as stated in the app: the passage of time alone does not require another payment. The restoration conditions above still apply. This revision does not give Nook a right to arbitrarily end purchased access. Any suspension or termination must comply with the law, validly agreed terms and the remedies available to the user.

Before you confirm a purchase, the store displays the price, currency, payment terms and entity handling the transaction. Keep your receipt. Apple or Google processes payment under the terms applicable to your purchase. Nook remains your contact for app functionality and its own responsibilities. Store procedures do not remove rights you can exercise against the party responsible under the law.

Withdrawal and refunds

Consumers in the European Union and European Economic Area normally have 14 days from concluding a distance purchase contract to withdraw without giving a reason, subject to statutory exceptions. The 30-day free trial does not automatically replace that right for a later purchase. A fault may also entitle you to remedies for lack of conformity after the withdrawal period has ended.

Nook does not treat merely opening or installing the app as waiving withdrawal rights. For services, loss of that right requires full performance and the other statutory conditions. For digital content supplied without a tangible medium, starting supply requires express consent, acknowledgement of loss of the right and the required confirmation. The store’s technical purchase classification does not replace these requirements.

To withdraw from a store purchase, use the procedure in your receipt or Apple or Google purchase support. For a contract with Nook, you may send an explicit statement to krelunaid@gmail.com or the business address above; the form below is optional. Identify the service, purchase date and reference, and give contact details. Do not send passwords, SMS codes or keys. Deleting your account is not required to request a refund and does not itself constitute a withdrawal statement.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, send the statement to the appropriate recipient before the period expires.

Where withdrawal entitles you to a refund, it is made within the statutory deadline, normally 14 days from notification, using the same payment method unless otherwise agreed without cost. A proportionate amount for services already supplied is payable only where the statutory conditions are met. More favourable local deadlines and protections remain unaffected.

Optional withdrawal statement

To Kreluna Software (GADDUCCI ANDREA), Via Dante Alighieri 3, 51016 Montecatini Terme (PT), Italy, krelunaid@gmail.com: I hereby withdraw from my contract for the Nook service purchased on [date], reference [order/receipt]. Consumer’s name, address, contact details and date. Signature only if sent on paper. For contracts concluded with a store, address the statement to the entity identified in the purchase terms and receipt.

Statutory conformity rights, updates and support

Consumers have statutory conformity rights for digital content and services. In Italy, where the Consumer Code’s conditions are met, you may require conformity to be restored free of charge within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, or obtain a price reduction or termination with the refund due. Continuous supply must remain in conformity throughout the contractual supply period. These rights are not an additional commercial warranty and do not depend on purchasing paid support.

Updates, including security updates needed for conformity, are supplied for the period required by applicable law. This text introduces no shorter period or fixed additional commitment. Install necessary updates according to the instructions provided; failure to install them can affect remedies only in the circumstances allowed by law.

For problems, complaints or rights requests, write to krelunaid@gmail.com with your app version, device and a description, avoiding private messages and credentials. Nook assesses requests and acts in accordance with applicable obligations. No 24-hour support service or fixed response time is promised. Maintenance and faults may interrupt service; this does not exclude liability or remedies that are due. Nook is not an emergency service.

Information about technical limits, encryption, recipients’ copies and third-party services does not exclude Nook’s liability where the law provides for it. Intentional misconduct, gross negligence and non-excludable liability are not excluded. There is no general damages cap equal to the app’s price. Any damages claim remains subject to the legal requirements for that claim.

Changes and service termination

Material changes to terms require the notice and, where necessary, agreement prescribed by law; they cannot be imposed retroactively merely by editing this page. For consumers covered by European digital-services rules, changes beyond those needed for conformity require a valid contractual basis and the other statutory conditions. Where they adversely affect use or access more than to a minor extent, advance notice on a durable medium and free termination within 30 days apply in the statutory circumstances, unless the conforming, unchanged service remains available at no extra cost. This section creates no new unilateral power to change the service. The 30-day period runs from receiving the notice or from the change, whichever is later.

If service lawfully ends, statutory rights to refunds and to retrieve user-generated or user-provided content remain, subject to the applicable exceptions. Encryption or a lost key may prevent Nook from reading or recovering data: technically impossible operations are not promised. This limit does not remove duties concerning data and content Nook is required and able to provide.

Applicable law, disputes and local rights

Applicable law and jurisdiction are determined by the relevant rules, including consumer protections in your country of residence. These Terms impose no exclusive Italian forum, mandatory arbitration or waiver of mandatory actions or remedies. Mandatory local protections override incompatible clauses. The EU/EEA withdrawal period does not limit different rights available elsewhere. You may contact competent authorities or use available redress without first giving up your rights. Translations do not make one language prevail to the consumer’s detriment.
